On 18th August 2021, when I called my son, Kindnew, on his phone, [a TPLF] soldier answered and told me that my son was with them. On Sunday around 10 am, I heard that my son had died and that he was buried around Zebera/Ata village. when I arrived at his grave, knew it was his body as his legs had not been covered with soil and I could see his shoes. When his body was exhumed, he was wearing the same cloths. He died of gunshot wound to the head. We took the body and buried him at St. Michael church.
